"Body, remember..." - Group exhibition
Efthymios' participation in "Body, remember..." group exhibition, which was inspired by C.P. Cavafy's poem of the same name, is provided below.

"Headless ancient Greek male torso emerging from the darkness of abyss, when memories leap from the oblivion and happiness becomes an elusive dream".
Mixed media technique with acrylics, charcoal, black Indian ink and steel screws on white ARCHES cotton paper and plywood, 76x56cm, Aug 2023.
Artist's statement:
A vigorous athletic young body, without identity, emerges from the darkness of the abyss. It is the role model, the elusive healthy yet voluptuous image that everyone strives to resemble in social media and everyday human relationships. Time flows, inexorably, forward at high speed. When everything belongs to the past, looking again at the same image, memories begin to leap from oblivion, and the obstacles that thwarted the realisation of the desires of youth render happiness an elusive dream.
